House Party freezes in the loading screen

Prior to the late september update, House party ran fine for me, no issues ever. Ever since, however, as soon as I select new game, it starts loading and then freezes. I have tried changing settings, and even reinstalling. HELP

This is on the LOADING...screen with Brittney (the blonde)? Or, the splash/text page prior to the title menu? Can you provide your system specs please (CPU, GPU, RAM/system memory amount, Windows version and is it 32/64 bit)?

I have the exact same bug, The game freezes on the loading screen with Brittney after 2 tips showing. All I get is "program does not respond".

Never had issues before swithching to V15.x (I had v14.4 before and everything was fine)

I tried deleting all HP related folders (LocalLow and Documents) and reinstalling, nothing works, even trying another story than original. I don't have it on steam.

Intel core i5-7300HQ
16Go of RAM
GeForce GTX1050

What version are you currently playing, specifically?

I tried with v15.1 and v15.4

15.5 (available on all platform) solve long loading screen issue (according to changelog) so try again with the latest game version

I installed v15.5 and the problem is still there. I even tried it on Steam but it still freezes on the new game's loading screen (enven after removing all the files I could find about the, even in the registry).

Alright, and are you starting a fresh game in 0.15.5, or loading a saved game from 0.15.4? Can you send me an output_log.txt from the following folder AFTER you experience this issue and allowing the game to hang/crash? C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eek\House Party

Game worked fine until i did a system reset. now the game crashes after the loading screen with Brittney. The screen goes black and the application shuts itself down.

my setup meets all the minimum requirements, can provide system specs if required.

Yeah, as always need specs, and an output_log (instructions for getting that are in a sticky post) as well. Additionally, a more detailed description of what the crash behavior is: does it involve a pop-up of any kind, is the game running in Task Manager afterward, does Steam say the game is "Running", and how long after the loading screen does it crash?
