Bathroom Key - not by kitchen sink

To complete Madison/Ashley quest the item "Bathroom Skeleton Key" is needed.. Prior to 10.x updates, this was found next to the kitchen sink.. walk through still indicate that it should be found there. A search of the area around the kitchen sink doesn't show any objects.. (aside from the pizza box).. how can one find the key to the bathroom doors to complete the quest?

maybe an update to the walkthough is in order...

Only patreon users have access to the official walkthrough.
I don't know if you read that one, or an older one found who know where. I can only guess that you read an outdated one.
In this unofficial one for 0.12.3, there is no indication of the key by the sink:
