Tampered Rum Help

I get all the way on stephanies new quest to the part where i need to tamper with the rum but if i use the rum with the clear eyes it says you cant do that. Help plz 
Can you give more information about what you're trying to do, and what you have done prior to this? There are no criteria set up for the Use With interaction between the Clear Eyes and the Rum, or in other words, no reason it should ever fail.
Maybe try deleting your C:\Users\USERNAME HERE\Documents\Eek\House Party\Mods\Stories\Original Story folder and restarting the game to download a fresh copy. What version of the game are you running and on what platform did you get it? Are you playing the Original Story?
