This has happened multiple times in a row. Run Steam and load the game. Play through either gender, save and load games, and restart the game. No problems. Shut down the game and turn off the laptop. Turn on the laptop and run the game. Start a new game regardless of the gender. Instead of running the intro video it loads the player into the apartment and the player is stuck in this falling animation. I can move around the apartment but can't interact with anything. If I pause and click restart it loads me into the house except no NPCs and can't interact with anything. Sliding door is closed and the trail of oil from the garage to the backyard is there. Exit the game and try again with the same results. In Steam I tried verified the game files and it redownloads a few files. Run the game and same issues are still there. If I uninstall the game and remove all files from the computer then reinstall the game it then works. As soon as I quit the game completely and restart the computer the same glitch returns.

From which store did you get the game?

Please try these troubleshooting steps:
-If it's from Steam, can try verifying your file integrity?
-Are you using One Drive by any chance? Can you try turning it off?
-Can you try turning off your antivirus and running the game again?

Turns out it was Unity that was causing the problem. It was another Unity based game install that was causing the problem. Installed Unity directly from their website and all games are working.
