I've seen a few mods floating around (other than custom stories) is there any plan to make a designated place for them? are there plans to make them accessible through the game like custom stories are?

Right now nothing is planned officially, and probably will never be. But the community always has a solution. Someone will probably create a mod installer, as well as a repository of known good mods. Just give it more time, the field is relatively new
