Re: antipiracy or antiediting sistem?

Many, many error on what "your friend" did.

First of all : Each and every one custom story was build using one CSC version, thus is compatible with one HP version. Sometimes next HP version still works, but most of the time, you can get bugs due to engine change.
From what you wrote, you're playing HP 0.17 with a custom story done for a 0x.12 or even earlier version. This won't work at all.

Furthermore, the version your "friend" is playing is a patreon version (alpha version) which is known to break custom story.
I would advise to get back to 0.16.5 (stable version) and use "Ultimate hot story" (https://forum.eekllc.com/viewtopic.php? ... tory#p5076) instead.

"he deleted all males files": that's the dumbest move to do. Files are present for a reason. Pleas tell him to not do that in any c:\windows directory.
Those files were generated by the CSC, so if you want to get rid of one (or many npc), do NOT delete file : you import the story in the expected CSC version, remove char within the CSC and fix all interactions with the deteted npc.

Note: empty house might also mean that the custom story was not properly installed or can be provoked by a system local issue with the game (ie. if you use gregorian calendar). See https://forum.eekllc.com/viewtopic.php? ... ouse#p4564 for details.
