Why aren't the NPCs talking? Well, they usually talk to each other. Is there any way to fix this yourself?
And another question! How do I generate translation lines? After downloading your mod, I only got the mod. But I would like to translate for myself. How do I get the original template? In the forum thread, I see an active Frenchman who is constantly updating his translation. I downloaded a version of it and used it as a template. But some of the lines are still in English. Obviously, I'm missing something. English is closer to me than French. Anyway, I got confused there.

You should hear some background chatter. Go to Settings -> Audio Settings and make sure Play Chatter Audio is checked.

However, some of the background chatter has been replaced with text only hints. There is no sound for these, but you can see them on screen if you go to Settings -> Gameplay Settings and check Show Chatter Subtitles.

Translation template is attached. I don't have much experience working with these, so can't help much but good luck!

Thank you very much for the quick response. I turned on the sound. I meant background conversations to make the party look more lively. And thanks for the template. I'll try again from scratch.

I forgot how this story handles the background conversations. There's no sound to any of the background conversations in this story. Custom stories can only use the background conversation sounds from the original story. If I used those, the characters would be calling each other Amy, Ashley, Madison, etc. and talking about events from the original story. It wouldn't make any sense.

Is it possible to "meet everyone" if you start out by doing the Strangers in the Night achievement? It appears to be stuck on 8/9 on meeting the guests even though I've introduced myself to everyone, and that's the only reason I can think of.
Also are the girls supposed to barge into the bathroom looking for you? Seems like they come swarming after only a short while in there.
Thanks!

There was a bug with that at one point. I thought I fixed it, but it's possible it's been reintroduced by subsequent changes either to the game engine or the story. It's kind of hard to track down and fix things with the current state of the CSC. I think the "meet everyone" quest isn't a barrier to anything, though. Mainly cosmetic. I could be wrong...

Girls will come looking for your attention at a certain point if they like you and you haven't talked to them in a while. Bathroom or not.

Version 1.3.3.b in the first post fixes this bug

In Version 1.3.3.c (c for Christmas), if you activate the Winter Decorations DLC from the main menu, the random party will be a random Christmas party and include an extra quest with a pretty useful reward.
With the DLC active, there are also a number of dialogue changes acknowledging the holiday season, including seasonally themed Cheesy Pickup Lines (for you ho-ho-hoes). Enjoy!
Because I know people are going to ask for help with the Christmas content, here are spoilers:
Compliment the hostess' decorations.
Climb the vertical gutter to the right of the porch. Then walk slowly along the edge of the porch, looking down at the horizontal gutter. You should see the word "Gutter" appear again. Click there and choose to "Use With..." the mistletoe.
You must be standing (approximately) on the back porch. Talk to a girl and choose "Oh look, we're standing under the mistletoe..."

In new version 1.3.3.d, kissing under the mistletoe now has an effect on suggestible girls (particularly useful if you're playing Christmas party with the Innocence Lost scenario). Also, a couple of minor bug fixes.
