How to save the characters

Im able to get on and edit the setting etc but im not sure how to save them, any help?

File > Save project.
But this will save all modification done everywhere.

Do you mean to export to the story/character files, that can be loaded by the game?
Well, that is kinda convoluted , but what you need is to edit story name setting for each of character files you will use in story, including story file itself. Then export the story file. This will export both story and all matching character files.
