Re: Emote and how they work?

Emotes not working isn't intended right now. Short of voice acting, our intent is for HP CSC-generated stories to be otherwise identical to the Original Story in terms of potential depth, mechanics, etc. Our lead dev is going to be looking into the emote issues in custom stories as well as intimacy problems that have surfaced this week.

Customization is going to be something we tackle in the distant future. We have plans to allow certain console commands (like bodypart or changesize) to be used in custom stories, which would at least provide a modicum of control over character height, certain anatomical sizes, proportions, etc. We're also going to aim for Office Party allowing either a male OR female playthrough from the start, so we should be able to roll that feature back into House Party, at least for custom story use if not for a standalone story or more that Eek! will provide. Building upon that we will continue to bring back as many features as we can from OP into HP as we can. The scope of potential customization beyond these things is not something we can really get into at this time, though. Gotta get this game released for all those that have (and will) pay for it before we commit to too much else.

Re: Emote and how they work?

Thank you Erasmus,

I'm glad to hear that development is underway and look forward to the evolution of House Party and it's custom stories! Office Party does sound like a fantastic launch point for more content. No doubt that will provide more hours of enjoyable entertainment.

You guys have achieved so much in such a short space of time, and I totally understand that getting the game released is the primary concern (primary directive..? 8-) )

I just love the concept (and Lesuire Suit Larry...) I've used Daz3D / 3DsMax / Unity before but I was wondering if the models have been directly imported from Daz Studio or Maya? I'm just trying to get ahead of the game because I really, really do want to create and develop user-content for HP and potentially OP.

Keep up the heroic work and do us all proud!!

Thanks for the props and kind words! We're doing our best. It's refreshing to hear that we've made a product that folks want to put some of their precious free time into and believe in :D

We started out with direct Daz assets, our modelers have since then been working on them in Zbrush, Maya, etc., and now with Mimic Studios working with us I'm sure there will be a whole new workflow to follow.

You're most welcome! In my opinion, I think it's important to praise good work. Just remember that whatever they don't complain about must be good enough...!

Re: Emote and how they work?

And for those that have battled their way through all the threads, I thought that I may round off by giving a thought, or two, as to where and what things I'll be looking into.

There is a student version of Maya, free for 3 years. Terms and Condition obviously apply.

also comes with Hexagon, a 3D modeling program. Used to create clothes, hair, shoes, etc. (Don't forget 3DsMax too!)

And possibly, to add the cherry to your cake... and then eat it... Render out your final animations. A re-creation of the Michael Jackson - "Thriller" video??

Hope this helps!
