Is there any way to have the player take their hand off the girl via script while groping her?

No.
But you could make the girl react so she goes backwards, which will usually stop the grope due to distance.

Yeah, unfortunately they don't always back up far enough to have the hand reliably detach though.
Wish I had this problem in real life.
