Game engine didn't break stuff, so any CS designed fro 0.14.x will work with 0.15.x.
Just don't expect fight stuff to be handled.

I really like your story, it would be cool though if you put in some sort of item that allowed the player to override one npc's decision for example give them a drink and they will come.

Strange.
Did you close Madisons Bedroom door at least once? Did you strip by yourself? Can be that this is not working with the self striping option.
