Is Unity Free?

So yeah, I tried to follow the directions and download everything but it seems like the program isn't free. I keep getting stonewalled by the website and all it wants me to do is to keep redownloading sheet. I tried using personal but that doesn't seem to work either.

Yeah. I had to shuffle websites, pop- ups, hubs, install, re- installs, etc. It really sucked, They need a better way to install their software.

Unity, like windows come in differents edition.
The first one is free (personnal), all the others (pro/plus) must be bought as written on the unity webpage : https://store.unity.com/

For the CSC use, the free version is enough.
WARNING the csc never uses the latest version of unity, but a peculiar one. To avoid issue, check the CSC thread to find out the exact version from https://unity3d.com/get-unity/download/archive you have to download.
