The muse

So I built the sculpture, found the cat voice recorder, and I literally played the loop EVERYWHERE and Derek doesn’t respond unless I’m in the room and it fails the quest. What am I missing here?

you need to be in the art room and click on the window and select use with... and then select the recorder

Ah thanks a bunch! But now it tells me “Madison beckons me forward” lol how long is the wait?
