Custom story mod issue

Not sure where to put this, but I'm not able to download/update/uninstall any custom story mods for the newest version. Whenever I try, I just get an error of "unable to download" with a vague message that "something totally went wrong." I can't even uninstall what I've played in previous versions. I tried downloading the game again, and even direct downloading the custom story files into the mods folder, to no avail. Is something wrong with 1.0, or is there something else I can do?

Make sure your antivirus doesn't block the game to write files.
Also make sure that onedrive doesn't interfere either.

That seemed to fix it, thanks! I'm not sure why it was an issue just now and not with previous versions, but oh well.

Later versions fixed this.
