Looks like the problem is still occurring for some people.

I've just tried 1.2.6 and the Untie Top menu option is working perfectly no matter what position you start off in.

To reset the game delete both Eek folders, one is in C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\LocalLow and the other one is in the Documents folder.

Don't forget to back up any save games/photos you want to keep first.
