Having just few lines voiced will make your custom story look like a work in progress /draft, as you won't be able to voice the remaining part. There was a way, but i'm not sure it still presents.
If i remember correctly, keep shift pressed when double clicking on the exe and when game start.
This should open classic unity3d setting windows, where you can lower the resolution and some settings.

are you playing on win 7, 8 8.1 or 10 ?
Is your gpu driver (21.2.1 was released few days ago) and windows up to date ?
