[Feature Request] General Event Trigger

[Feature Request] General Event Trigger

I am a new content creator and I feel like there should be a general event option, so say I put in a drunk event, it would not be linked to one character or item. So say the event is labeled consume alcohol, you would be able to do "selected player" "social" "drunk" "add" "1" "30 seconds" and so you could link that code with items you wish but you would not need to re-script that event 11 times for each character. This would help me in trying to make content. I feel like it would make creating content much faster and more reliable. If this is a thing already, let me know, I am new to this and figure see if it would be possible.

Hey, yeah we feel you, it can be pretty tedious to set up certain things in the CSC. We actually have a ticket open to implement more general bulk copy, modify, remove, and add functionalities across items, events, characters, and more. It is kind of a big ticket for the CSC so it won't be super soon, but we've heard you and will do what we can as soon as time allows!

That's great news. I was hoping for something similar too with "walk to character then do X with character you just walked to"

This is one of the reasons I make custom story by editing story and character files directly, instead using CSC tool.

Sure, it is tedious in some ways, but re-adding script sections by copy pasting and just swapping some names is much easier then redoing it manually with CSC.


Ideally, it would be great to be able to make script template, and then switch some names and have script working for all selected characters.


This could be used not only for characters but items too. For example if you want to add same behavior to all drinks in the game.
