Some questions.

Postby KatieSpencer » Thu Jan 04, 2018 5:36 pm

I have been looking through the tutorials and found some really complicated ones and that really wasn't helpful.

I am getting to grips with the how it works. Setting up conversations and such,

But i was wondering how do I go from asking one question (4), to a whole new bunch of new questions for that question, without it going to the original bunch of player questions.

1. You look nice.
2. Would you like a drink.
3. That dress looks pretty.
4. Can we have sex.

New questions.

1. Can we do it doggy
2. Get on top.
3. Suck me off.

Easiest way I've found to do this in the story creator:

1. Setup a line of dialogue for the girl where those new answers are the player's responses
2. In the default dialogue for that girl set that line you created in step 1 to trigger on dialogue start with the criteria that the girl's intimacy state does not equal none

You can see this setup in Katherine and Rachael though for some reason they were setup with each individual position.

Thank you but unfortunately that didn't work.

The way I have it it this.

Dialogue:
Hey there... Glad you can make it.

Responses.
1. Thanks and for the invite.
2. Thanks. You look nice.
3. Wow. You are looking fine.
4. Thanks. Where can I get a drink?
5. Thank you. Love the music.
6. We went to the same school right?

1 to 5 has there own responses. I would like number 6 have it's own response tree. So when I click on Ashley again it comes up with the second lot of responses and not the default responses.

Do you want it to always go to that set from now on or do you want it to only go there under certain circumstances? Or do you want the one time you select that option to have the replies lead to other dialogue options?

Dialogue:
Hey there... Glad you can make it.

First Responses.
1. Thanks and for the invite.
2. Thanks. You look nice.
3. Wow. You are looking fine.
4. Thanks. Where can I get a drink?
5. Thank you. Love the music.
6. We went to the same school right?

- I would like when we first speak to Ashley we get the default player responses, until I ask response 6.
- When response 6 is asked I would like the responses to the dialogue (response 6) to be the default dialogue the next time I ask her anything.

Ok so then similar to my initial suggestion but set the criteria to instead be that the response she gives to line 6 was shown.

Unfortunalty again I can't get it working.

I do apologies. I am very new to this but so much to learn it. Thank you for your help. :D

New default ( Pic 2 )

I would like, when the player asks (Pic 1) "Yeah, we went to the same school.": I would like (Pic 2) "We did yeah. you've not changed." to be the default dialogue when we ask her again later on. When I go back at the moment she asks me the dialogue from pic 1.

So then in the default dialogue add to the "on dialogue start" section a new game event dialogue Brittney "yeah we did..." with the criteria that "yeah we did..." was shown

No worries about the questions this is a tricky tool to get used to

Worked like a charm... Thank you so much for your help. You're a legend.

Do you mind me asking more questions if I need to ask them?

Sure. I'm far from an expert but I'll do what I can
