I like how 0.8.7 release was added as an optional branch in Steam version of game.
This will in future make it possible to have a branch for older version of HP that supports last CSC at that time. And thus, include longevity of older stories until they get updated.

If we do that, we would have to keep alive v0.6.5, 0.7.3, 0.7.7 & 0.8.3. and got tons of bugs report already fixed in newer version.
So if you really want to keep version to continue enjoying older out-dated stories, it would be better to do it on your own.

Since you already do that for 0.8.7, why not just keep doing that in the future with next version that supports the CSC?
And there is no obligation to fix anything in older versions, just like there is no currently such thing for 0.8.7 release either. The goal would be to always have one version of game that works with latest CSC tool.
.
"On your own" is not option for most players. You can not legally get older version before owning the game at the time of release of that version and proactively backing it up every time.

All is said. Youpaid for the latest version, not for the previous one
Ie buying win 10 computer doesn't always allow you to get windows 7 back for free.

I can only speak for myself with only one not very popular mod but there is no point to create a topic until the new CSC is released and the old mods can work with the latest version: 99,9% of the replies will be variants of "this doesn't work". And of course we can't work on newer ones.
So don't lose your hope just yet, but it's going to be a while. I understand that with the patreon exclusives the developers have to juggle between multiple releases each month and it's hard to keep up with everything but maybe they should put on the extra resources to make sure that at least the steam version is updated at the same time as the CSC, particularly if they expect the update to break all the current stories.
More content creators have come forth! I am currently working on two stories non-stop to push them out asap. It's hard to balance it with school but with spring break coming up I will hopefully have two new custom stories up! I strive for perfection so it's just taking time! One story is going to be a party from a personal experience. The other.....well let's just say your bro Patrick is still setting it up!

I am curious, does anyone know if any of the custom stories that are currently lost were of an m/m nature? I read on Steam the devs saying that some members of the custom story community were making such things.

None that i remember of as npc-npc or player- male npc intimacy are not yet available.

Hello erasmus and ttant..
Can you give me a run down of the custom stories that are still viable for the 7.3 to 8.3 game versions so I can go through my
collection of saved zip and rar files to see if I have some that could be uploaded back to the forum for those out there who've
saved the previous game versions so they can still play the older custom stories?
I have a fairly large collection of them and I saved the original zips and rars so that I could share them if needed.
I even have copies of the ones their creator made updated versions of.
