Graphics settings

Since the new patches came out, I started playing the game again. I got to the part of the story where we increased the temperature in the house. Afterwards I noticed all the moisture on the all characters' skin..... great! I was pleased with the realism. The problem is now when I start new games or just customize them..... they all seem to be covered in water all the time. Is there a graphics setting to lower this effect?
